FAQs
✶ Processing Time ✶
Everything is made to order with a turnaround time of approx 4-6 weeks - not including delivery times.
✶ Garment Care ✶
Please hand wash or wash on a gentle cycle inside out, hang to air dry and iron on a low heat setting.
If you purchase an item with custom printed fabric, please take care when washing. The fabric will feel slightly stiff when you receive your order! The garment will need to be washed prior to wearing so the fabric can soften and relax! Please either hand wash or wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees inside out, do not wring the garment and then hang to air dry.
For items with vinyl printed designs, please do not iron directly onto the vinyl! Either iron the garment inside out or iron with parchment paper ontop of the design!
✶ Refunds and Exchanges ✶
As a made to order business, our products are customised/personalised for your needs so we unfortunately do not accept refunds or returns.
Please measure yourself correctly before purchasing, all size guides are on each product listing!
If your order is damaged, incorrect or missing items then please contact us on sewwasted@hotmail.com and we will get it sorted for you!
✶ Postage ✶
We post worldwide using Royal Mail services in recyclable packaging.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, delayed or damaged parcels.
We are also not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses. It is the customers responsibility to enter the correct address, if you need to change your address before the order has been dispatched then please contact us as soon as possible to get it changed.
All receipts are kept as proof of postage so once it has been posted it is out of our hands.
EU and Northern Ireland shipping is temporarily paused due to the new GPSR rules. These regulations set new legal requirements for exporting goods to the EU and NI. We are monitoring the situation and hope to resume shipping as soon as possible.
✶ Order tracking ✶
Once your order has been made and dispatched, you will receive a dispatch email with a tracking number so you can keep your eye on its journey.
✶ Custom charges & import fees ✶
Custom/import charges and any additional fees are the customers responsibility and are completely out of our control.
EU and worldwide customers may now have to pay import fees and custom charges upon receiving their order when it arrives in your country. This cost varies for each country and unfortunately we are unable to predict what these charges may be.
Due to new US import rules, all US orders will incur a mandatory 10% tariff fee for all business shipments arriving from the UK. This fee is collected by Royal Mail on behalf of US customs to allow your parcel to be imported into the United States. This charge is not set by us, it's a US government requirement. The 10% tariff fee will be automatically added to your order total at checkout. Please note: this fee only covers the new import tariff for shipping from the UK. Additional customs duties or charges may still apply depending on your order value, which remain the responsibility of the customer.
✶ Fabric ✶
Fabric may vary slightly in colour or pattern due to different suppliers - if a fabric becomes out of stock and is no longer available at the time of ordering, a substitute will be found and confirmed with you.
✶ Our Ethics ✶
As a small business we try to be as ethical and sustainable as possible.
Our clothing is made to order so only a small amount of fabric is kept at a time and ordered when needed meaning no unnecessary garments are made.
Our patterns are cut out in a way to reduce as much fabric waste as possible.
Any fabric waste is creatively turned into other items such as scrunchies, scrap dresses, stitched up products or are donated and recycled.
